New in Lahaina: Sure Thing Burger

Two Michelin stars in Lahaina? Not exactly, but Sure Thing Burger, a burger stand by Josiah Citrin, of LA’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant Melisse, certainly reflects its pedigree.

The burgers are simple and perfect: a soft, toasted brioche-like bun; thin, griddled Maui Cattle Co. patties, American cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato. Add-ons include bacon and egg. Fries are similarly well-executed: thicker-cut, crisp on the outside, fluffy inside.

Sure Thing Burger is just a stand, with only three burgers on the menu—beef, pork with BBQ sauce and veggie—and a fourth, a turkey burger with apple basil sauce, on its way.

Cheeseburger in paradise? It’s here at Sure Thing Burger.

Kamaaina: there’s a kamaaina discount, bringing the $8 burgers down to $6.70.
