Open house pick of the week: Mililani

Photos courtesy of Prudential Locations

Since Mililani is a master-planned community, most of the lots in each category are much the same size. Every so often, you might find a home with an oversize yard, but this one is over and beyond large, even for homes in other parts of the island.

At 11,462 square feet, this is one of the largest lots in Mililani Mauka. I have no idea how many others are this big, but it’s rare to find one like this. And the huge yard in this photo is fully enclosed, so it’s probably good for recreational activities such as croquet, Easter egg hunts or practicing your golf swing. (Click here for details.)

Out back, the enclosed lanai opens to the huge back yard, which has private access to the street with ample parking.

The two-story home has 2,603 square feet of living area, comprising five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. All that space allows for a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, and a master bathroom with a tub and separate shower.

The living area features a built-in gas fireplace and separate office. The gourmet kitchen has granite counter tops, custom cabinets, built-ins, and new appliances including a wine fridge. When you see the space and design, it’s hard to believe it’s in Mililani.

The home will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Happy house hunting!

Money talk: $955,000 fee simple
