Open house pick of the week: Anuhea at Makakilo

There are various new community developments on the west side of Oahu, being filled almost as fast as the homes can be built. In Makakilo, there’s a community called Anuhea, and the one available home there is open this Sunday.

It’s the first showing for this new listing, located on a rim lot in a quiet cul-de-sac. (Click here for details.) It is just six years old and shows like new, with more than $75,000 worth of upgrades throughout, including laminate flooring, plush carpet, corian counters, stainless steel appliances, and upgraded cabinets in the kitchen.

In this price range, rural homes have an incredible amount of space: the lot is 6,100 square feet, and the home itself is 1,515 square feet with four bedrooms and 2. 5 baths. The master bedroom upstairs is huge: It’s got enough room for the bed plus more large furniture, a walk-in closet, vaulted ceilings, a big master bathroom with double sinks and a large, open deck overlooking the yard and the open plain.

The covered lanai downstairs opens to the landscaped yard. Inside, central air keeps the house cool. This is probably going to be a popular choice for people looking to live on that side of the island, for that price point.

Happy house hunting!
