Open house pick of the week: St. Louis Heights

When you visit this new listing at 2987 Robert Pl. on St. Louis Heights this weekend, it will have that new car smell … um, new home smell. That’s because it’s newly built—literally, just days old. (Click here for details.)

It’s the first investment project by its owners, so it’s got a lot of attention to detail. Since many people are looking for homes with yards, they made sure to save a lot of space for it and had it professionally landscaped. They made sure to build “green” with bamboo floors, an on-demand tankless water heater, and an Energy Star shingled roof (where the solar panels are in the shingles).

With three bedrooms and 2.5 baths, this 1,624 square-foot, two-story home is open and spacious. It includes a 380 square-foot deck to enjoy the sunset and city views. The home has a large kitchen with piped-in stainless steel gas stove and appliances, granite counter tops, travertine in the kitchen and baths, and a two-car garage.

Since ohana living in Hawaii is so important, the downstairs was built to include a separate entrance and a wet bar so it could be used as a rental or guest space if needed.

Good thing the driveway was just finished this week, so you can park there for open house. Happy house hunting!
