Like living in a luxury resort in Kailua

Kalaheo Avenue in Kailua—both North and South—is known for having some spectacular beachfront homes. This new listing at 112A South Kalaheo Ave. is probably one of the most jaw-dropping estates along that stretch. (Click here for details.)

It’s just half a mile from the $36 million dollar estate that I wrote about last year (which, by the way, has been reduced to $29 million to be more affordable) and is in the midst of several bed & breakfasts in the area.

The two-story home was designed by renowned architect Peter Vincent, and built in 2008 by luxury homebuilders Sutton Construction. The open, flowing layout gives its denizens the full impact of Island living, with lots of elbow room—there are eight bedrooms (two of which are master suites) and 8.5 baths in its 6,551 square feet of living area. That doesn’t include the additional 1,469-square-foot “roofed other area” or 960-square-foot lanai.

Other luxury features in the home include a gourmet kitchen, formal dining room with high ceilings, theater room, multi-room sound system, steam sauna, and more.

The exterior is probably more stuning than the interior: The front features a dramatic zero-edge pool surrounded by a landscaped garden and expansive travertine deck, created for entertaining. The lot is huge, spanning 25,806 square feet with a large back yard leading out to the beach.

And, if you can afford it, the home is ready to move in. It comes fully furnished, excluding the artwork.

Money talk: $10,995,000 fee simple
