Open house of the week: A deal in Kahala Kua

Photos: Courtesy Vicki Yu

Homes in Kahala Kua don’t come on the market often, so don’t miss out on this newly-listed four-bedroom home.

Only three homes are for sale in this gated community on the hillside above Aina Haina, and this custom-built home is a relative bargain at $1.45 million. (I did say relative. The other two properties are on the market for more than double the asking price of this one.)

Seated at the end of a cul-de-sac, the home shares a private lane with just four other neighbors. Outside, you’ll notice the Monier tiled roof, a stucco interior and a low-maintenance landscaped yard.

After entering through slate double doors, you’ll discover an open floor plan, with the master suite, living room and kitchen on the same level, along with one of two oceanview lanais.

Speaking of views, you might even find you don’t despise doing dishes as much as you thought after you take a look through the large kitchen window. The kitchen also has granite counters, a breakfast bar and recipe desk, along with a door to the two-car garage.

Downstairs, there’s another living area with a wet bar, as well as the second lanai.

If you’d like to see more, take the virtual tour below, or check out the property yourself at one of realtor Vicki Yu’s open houses — today from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. She’s also considering having one tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., so tentative buyersshould call (808) 551-8077 to confirm if they’re interested in viewing it.

Money Talk: $1.45 million
