Open house pick of the week: Mililani Mauka

I don’t usually post homes in master-planned communities, since many of them tend to look alike, but this Mililani Mauka residence caught my eye. (Click here for details.)

It sits on a huge 5,942-square-foot perimeter lot, so it has added privacy from the rest of the area. Beyond the backyard, you’ll only find natural landscape.

The spacious 3,082-square-foot residence is two stories, with five bedrooms and three bathrooms, even a family room upstairs.

The home comes with a mixture of high-quality hardwood, carpeted and vinyl flooring throughout, as well as value-adding technical upgrades like central air conditioning, convection oven, and a solar water heater. The modern kitchen includes an island and has been beautifully updated with Corian counters and cabinets.

The home is in a great community for families with a recreational center and pool, and the new Mililani ‘Ike Elementary school is minutes away. Actually, when you see the location and the condition of the home, it seems to be a good value for the price.

The home will be open this Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Happy house hunting!
