Your own private valley in Kaneohe

A lot of times, we profile beachfront homes as a “piece of paradise,” but there’s so much more to Island living than going to the beach. This listing in Haiku Knolls captures the essence of living in Hawaii’s lush subtropical rainforests, complete with a private valley.

The home is on a one-acre CPR and features a 15-foot waterfall cascading into a private, natural swimming pond. The backyard has a large gazebo that overlooks the pond, as well.

Built in 1981, the two-story, 2,450-square-foot residence has open-beam cedar ceilings, five bay windows, and five skylights. There are three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms—including the master bedroom’s large shower area made of marble and glass block.

There’s a good mix of flooring textures throughout the house, with carpet, tile, marble, and, most notably, a solidtropical-wood floor in the family room.

It’s a really cool house to live in, literally and figuratively, but the real appeal is the property and surrounding area.

There’s only one broker’s open planned—today, until 2 p.m.—but you can always call realtor Marti Hazzard for details or click here to see more photos.
