Open house of the week: Ka Makana at Hoakalei

This home is just two years old, so if you’re looking for a newer home on the West side without the brand-new pricing, check out this open house in Ka Makana at Hoakalei.

“This development is Ocean Pointe’s version of Ko Olina,” says realtor Jocelyn Okudara of Kahala Associates. “In fact, this unit is a few minutes’ stroll from the rec center and pool area—coming this summer—as well as the proposed lagoons, which will be like Ko Olina’s, and near the private golf course.”

Although this is in a master-planned community, which has rules on the exteriors of the homes, this listing’s interior isn’t like most cookie-cutter town homes. It’s been upgraded with crown molding, extra built-in storage cabinets, wooden blinds, wood laminate flooring and plush wall-to-wall carpeting. Various designer-inspired accent walls, both solid and with graphics, are a very contemporary feature in this home.

There are three bedrooms and 2.5 baths in this 1,247-square-foot home, and the third bedroom has a built-in Murphy bed—which is a nice touch for saving space. The living areas are very open and light.

The upgrade also includes a finished garage with attic crawl space, cable wiring for TV in the patio area, and a new security system. (Click here for more details.)

It will be open this Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Happy house hunting!
