Open house pick of the week: Lanikai

Photos courtesy of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties

Lanikai is probably one of the most sought-after neighborhoods to live on Oahu, but there’s a finite space, so it’s kind of rare to see homes in the area come on the market. Many times, these homes are multi-million-dollar listings.

This home is priced a lot lower than many listings we usually see for sale in the area, probably because it’s not oceanfront and is older (it was built in 1949). Despite the age, however, it’s in excellent condition, and the renovations have kept it from looking dated.

The lot is 7,503 square feet with lush, tropical landscaping to provide privacy. It’s located a few blocks from world-famous Lanikai Beach, but there’s a pool, so you don’t have to face the sand if you don’t want to.

The 2,911-square-foot, two-story residence is architecturally designed with high ceilings and open beams. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which includes a separate guest area.

You also get a three-car garage and ample driveway and street parking, so if you have guests over, it’s not a problem. (Click here for more details.)

This home will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Happy house hunting!

Money talk: $1,500,000 fee simple
