Open House pick of the week: Mililani Mauka

Yes, it's true: chef Fred DeAngelo of Ola Restaurant at the Turtle Bay Resort and his wife Cheryl have put their Mililani Mauka home on the market. But don't worry, they're not going anywhere.

"Our daughter Maya Rose is our main priority, and will be going to school in town," explains Cheryl. "Her extracurricular activities on weekends will be in town as well. We want her to live close enough to school so she won't have such a long commute before and after school."

If you love cooking and entertaining, as the DeAngelos do, this may be the house for you.

"It's been perfect for entertaining with the two living areas, a great kitchen with lots of storage space and surround sound system throughout the house," Cheryl says.

Even for everyday living, the model home offers lots of space, with three bedrooms, three baths and 2,287 square feet of living area. One of the bedrooms, on the first floor, can be used as an office that's large enough to share.

"We also have a security system and upgraded it to include three surveillance cameras. The security system also lets us know when any door or window has been opened or closed, which is awesome with a toddler," she adds.

The home was professionally decorated and can be sold with the furniture, so it's easy to move right in.

Happy house hunting!
