What’s this Aina Haina home worth?

If you’re an HGTV fan, you’ll remember a show called “My House is Worth What?”—where the host and a realtor go through an unusual home and pick it apart to figure out its sale value.

This Aina Haina home was featured on that show, and is for sale. (Click here for details.) As you can see, it’sdefinitely unusual; it’s known as “the pole house” because it sits on poles up against the hillside. The structure and location make it super private, especially since the area in back is conservation land, so there are no neighbors behind it.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home has three stories and sweeping unobstructed views of the valley, mountains and ocean. The layout is very open, with multiple lanais, 20-foot ceilings and lots of natural light.

There are various other unusual interior features: the kitchen has koa wood cabinets and eucalyptus flooring; the master bedroom is huge and is away from the rest of the house for privacy; the master bath has unique graphic tinting on the windows to let light in and make it feel like a spa. (Everyone likes the laundry chute in the bathroom, which leads to the laundry room on the second floor.) There’s also Centra-Vac for easier housekeeping.

It is a CPR property. If you’d like to see it yourself, it’s open today until 11:30 a.m. and again on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. The nice thing about its being on HGTV is the video tour and realtor Kelly Mitchell’s analysis of the property—and now the owner is ready to sell.
