Miemiko Atelier opens at Ward Centre
Letter Days Ahead
Tomorrow's headline: Dangerously Dwindling Cardstocks of Cute Notes Triggers Panic
Messaging has come to a stop. All lines of communications are stationary. Rumors are, at least one person was forced to break up via a Post-it.
Stop the letterpresses. Word is just in that Miemiko Atelier opened at Ward Centre.
The stationery line that has been dressing up parties, weddings and every occasion since 2006 opened the doors to its new shop yesterday. Along with Cari Nakanishi's signature charming letterpress designs, you'll find whitewashed shelves stocked with the Ewa Beach resident's favorite things and everything you need to make that next gift the perfect wrap. And every item comes with a story.
Pick up adorable hair clips, punchy pouches and playful lidded cups designed by a two-person design studio in Los Angeles. Stock up on folder paper-lined, graph paper or chevron-imprinted bags perfect for sliding in small treasures, then tie them up with colorful butcher twine. And if that's the last straw, grab a new set of colorfully swirled sippers.
Find Nakanishi's perfect pens—literally, she searched for the black and white ink items for years—or order a custom stamp to leave your mark. More gift wrap is coming in soon but you can carry everything out in Miemiko's smaller but spacious tote emblazoned with a simply chic gold heart.
It's everything you need to prove you have the whole package.
And that's good news.
Miemiko Atelier is located at Ward Centre between Mocha Java Cafe and Big Island Delights. It is open Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 598-1900. See more on Miemiko's Facebook page.
