As Hood As It Gets

Lei Chic You know you’re lucky you live Hawai‘i. And with Statehood Day fast approaching, you’d really like to rock a little something that shows your affection for the good old 808. But so far, your choices are looking pretty lame…

The Thigh's the Limit

Lei Chic

Thighs: Wait, we thought you and the gym were splitsville? You know, after that time you couldn’t figure out how to use any of the machines while all of the uber muscley-men watched in amusement? Are you guys trying to work it out?

You: No, we just weren't a good fit. But I heard... Read more »

Shakra Value

Lei Chic You made it to an entire month’s worth of yoga classes. You zoomed into zumba enough to actually be able to keep up with the instructor. You even struggled through a handful of booty-camp classes.

Days of Our Knives

Bedwetting, gym class, and side ponytails: all things you're glad you've firmly left in your former years. But every now and then you can't help but feel nostalgic for a few choice things from your past, like your favorite childhood foods.

Say Yes to the Dress

Something old: Every last dress in your closet (in your case they’re more like ancient).
Something new: This summer’s wedding season and the stack of cheery little event invites mocking you from your desk top.
Something borrowed: Your outfits, if you don’t find some cute threads soon!
Something blue: You, after realizing that next party is right around the corner and you haven’t got a stitch to wear.

To help, we rounded up a handful of fantastic... Read more »

Feeding Frenzy
The hungry female is a ruthless hunter. Perusing the waters to find her prey, she will not rest until she finds her victim, err, sandwich. Smelling the freshly baked breads, the savory deli meats, and the abundance of freshly chopped veggies, she knows lunchtime bliss is only moments away.

Sorry, we’ve been totally O.D.-ing on Shark Week.

But seriously, when you’re hungry, nothing stands in the way of you sinking a freshly made sub. And there’s a brand new sub shop in town that’s totally attack-worthy.

Tressed Out

Lately, returning to the salon depends less on how grown out your roots are, and more on whether your hair can stand any more chemicals. Forget ravishing; mostly your hair just looks ravaged.
