Six reasons to do something this weekend
Good Night Moon
What: Enjoy a relaxing evening filled with exquisite art, wine, and food at August Moon, a benefit for arts education at the Honolulu Museum of Art. For the first time ever, chefs will be pairing their dishes with specific wines, like Stage's sous vide pork tenderloin with fried apple puree, applewood smoked bacon, and a glass of Aaron Petite Sirah. Plus, 22 Oahu artists, like Solomon Enos and Lauren Roth, will be creating artwork live throughout the grounds and selling them for just $25.
When: Tomorrow, 6-9 p.m.
Where: Honolulu Museum of Art, 900 S. Beretania St.
Details: $100 at the door, tables available. For more information, call (808) 532-6099 or click here.
Flea the Scene
What: Art & Flea is taking its show on the road. This weekend, it debuts in Kailua with more than 30 vendors touting vintage and handmade wares, fashion, art, music, and more. ccdoodle will be offering $40 clutches, new reversible hobo bags and beach totes, and a sale bin starting at $10. You can also score 10-15 percent off at neighboring Olive boutique and Oliver Men's Shop, and dine from food trucks Camille's on Wheels, Da Sandwich Truck, Kiba Cafe, and Uncle's.
When: Saturday, 5-10 p.m.
Where: ChadLou's, 45 Kihapai St.
Details: $3 admission. Street parking is metered until 6 p.m.
What: There will be a store opening in Waikiki next year, but Honolulu shoppers can get their H&M fix right now thanks to the retailers brand-spanking-new online shop. The site offers affordable women's, men's, and kids' fashion, along with (yay!) a home section. There's a flat shipping fee of $5.95, though you can get free shipping through August 15 by signing up for H&M's newsletter.

Two store openings take place this weekend. Luxury lingerie maker La Perla opens its first Hawaii store tomorrow in Ala Moana center, Mall Level 2, Macy's Wing. Then on Saturday, THEFACESHOP opens its third Oahu store in Waimalu Plaza Shopping Center, 98-1277 Kaahumanu St. in Aiea. Sale alert: Score 20 percent off your entire purchase (at this location only) through Sunday!
First Friday Night
What: Florencia Arias is holding a summer sale for First Friday - get one full-priced item for 10 percent off, two for 20 percent off, and three for 30 percent off.
When: Tomorrow, 5-9 p.m.
Where: Florencia Arias, 1161 Nuuanu Ave.
Also: House of Aria, 1140 Bethel St., is hosting a Gold Cvltvre trunk show from 6-9 p.m. Flash this flyer for $5 off your purchase.
And: An alert for First Friday goers - be careful when walking along Hotel St. The usual closure between Nuuanu and Smith streets won't be in effect. Buses will be diverted through the area due to a major repaving project on King St.
What: On July 13, 2013, a hundred unsuspecting T by Alexander Wang fans were allowed access to a warehouse full of clothes that were absolutely free. We have choice words to describe what ensued; none are family-friendly. Fortunately, cameras were rolling and a lovely video just got posted on YouTube, so you can see the action for yourself. Was it real or staged? According to Racked, a surprise giveaway did happen, though there was no mention of the utter chaos inside.
