Versatile Bikinis from New Swimwear Brand Olena Kai
Bright and bluetifully colored swimwear to complement any skin tone.
Katy Perry trying to bring back the jeans patchwork dress and just ... no.
Taylor's cerulean jumper that probably doesn't belong on the red carpet. Or anywhere.
Beyoncé's beb Blue Ivy breaking it down and basically just winning everything.
After this weekend's VMAs there are so many reasons the color blue is on your mind. Not to mention the fact that with summer dying down (sob), the big blue ocean has been calling you for some last-ditch QT. Skip the onesies and denim this time. Instead, style yourself in a bikini from new, Honolulu-based Olena Kai.
Designer Inbar Maor launched the swimwear brand this summer in a splashy color palette inspired by bright blossoms and the shades of the sea. Try the keyhole halter top as a classy alternative to beach bumming, or stay playful in a strappy, versatile bandeau. Bottoms in of-the-moment cheeky or girly side-tie selections can be mixed and matched for some splashy styles to pack the rest of your summer days. Also, look for Maor's Blue Hawaii Jungle print, a fierce animal design in black and blue that debuted this month.
Maor, who studied fashion design at UH, selected alluring azure and reddish shades to flatter a variety of skin tones. The range of sizes is designed to fit women large and small, with full as well as minimal coverage options. Her goal? To design huetiful pieces that fit every woman's taste, body type and skin color.
Now that's a look that's hot as blue blazes.
$52 at the Olena Kai Etsy shop, or visit Maor at Art and Flea this Thursday, 5–10 p.m. at 1020 Auahi St. for a $5 off deal.
