Lei Chic Bye the Book
Sad news. R&D, our favorite bookstore/coffee shop/workspace is closing at the end of the month. Celebrate its last day with a popcorn bar, photo area, video jukebox and special toast. The Interisland Terminal team is shuttering the space to focus on new projects - look for pop-ups, film festivals and conferences in 2014.
When: Saturday, December 28, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Where: 691 Auahi St.
Details: More on Facebook.

Coffee lovers will perk up for this month's Freshly Baked bake-off and sale featuring Kona coffee.
When: Saturday, December 28, 1-4 p.m.
Where: Fresh Cafe, 831 Queen St.
Details: $3 entry, proceeds to support Pow Wow School of Music. More here.
