Totally Spa-some

It’s only Monday, and you’re already feeling like you need to get away. But a vacay is clearly out of the question these days.

Instead, head to the Sullivan Estate Spa on the North Shore. The multi-million-dollar estate overlooking Pupukea has long been available as a retreat, but it recently started offering day spa bookings.

There’s a two person minimum to make treatment appointments, but when you reserve your time, you’re actually reserving the entire estate – no other guests will be booked, giving you total privacy.

Any spa treatment you can imagine is available, plus few you probably couldn’t – like the color, light and aroma therapy treatment in a warm saltwater pool meant to stimulate your senses into trancelike calm. There are no treatment rooms − instead, your massage or facial happens in one of the poolside private cabanas. And you get to hang out, enjoy the view and the complimentary fresh fresh fruit and other snacks before and after your session.

You have to book in advance (don’t even try walking in), but this private escape is still secret enough that you’ll likely have your pick of the calendar.

In case you need to make a fast getaway.
