Sun Kissed

Ah, true love. There’s nothing quite like that pulse-racing, heart-fluttering excitement of finding your perfect match.

Yep, when you finally find that flawlessly-fitting bikini that flaunts your best assets, it’s truly love at first sight. (What else did you think we were referring to?)

So get ready to start swooning: Honi Honi swimwear (meaning “kiss” in Hawaiian), will leave you love struck.

The line is brand-new from Wings Hawai‘i, the Maui brand already known for their beachy, comfy clothing and stunning shell jewelry. Designed by Samantha Howard and hand-sewn by seamstress Blaire Ladd, the Honi Honi line boasts four variations of colorful bandeau and criss-cross tops paired with sassy, low-rise bottoms.

Worthy of your affections: the hand-printed fabrics in punchy, tropical designs, including stripes, solids and florals. In true Wings Hawai‘i fashion, several styles are adorned with a large Triton shell accent.

But what you’ll really fall for is the fit: the bandeau top offers support and shape, thanks to the special boning in the sides, and the bottom’s thick band lays comfortably on the hips, avoiding any hard elastic digging into your sides. Plus, they have more coverage than a skimpy Brazilian, giving just a peek of cheek, and offer enough stretch and strength to stay on in the water.

Sounds like you just found your latest love.
This romance should go swimmingly.

Honi Honi bikinis are on sale today and Friday at the Wings Hawai‘i booth at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa’s Campus Center. On Maui, they’re available at the Wings Hawai‘i boutique, 71 Baldwin Ave., Paia. For more info, call 808.579.3110, and to see more styles, visit www.wingshawaii.com/gallery/.
