That's the Spirit

Lei Chic Every year the same sequence of events occurs—the Halloween candy hits the shelves, you rejoice, stock up and promptly overdose.

Problem is, you’re in charge of this year's big Halloween bash. And while you’ve had your fill of candy corn, your friends are fully expecting a sugary coma-inducing spread.

Don’t worry, we’ve got your life saver—a Snickers flavored cocktail sure to pacify your friends’ sweet teeth. Concocted by one of our favorite local bartenders, Titus Nakagawa (of SoHo Mixed Media Bar and Remedy Hawaii), it's the perfect party trick to treat your guests to.

Ingredients

1 1/4 oz Godiva White Chocolate Liquer
1/2 oz Stoli Vanilla Vodka
1 oz chocolate syrup
1/2 oz caramel syrup
1 oz French vanilla coffee creamer
Crushed peanuts

Directions

Dip the rim of the martini glass into the chocolate syrup and then into the finely crushed peanuts pieces, coating the entire rim. Combine all of the ingredients (except the peanuts) with ice in a shaker and shake vigorously. Strain the mixture into the glass and enjoy.

Prefer to let someone else do the shakin’? No problem. Find Titus behind the bar Wednesday nights at Remedy Hawaii, and he’ll mix you up one. Remedy Hawaii, 746 Kohou St., Honolulu.
