Show Some Skincare

Lei Chic Wow. There was some serious celebrity action on the town last night.

The season premiere screening of Hawaii Five-0 in Waikiki. The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards in... your living room.

Both packed with seriously good-looking people touting seriously amazing skin (Michelle Borth was absolutely glowing).

If only your own complexion was red carpet worthy. And not just, you know, red.

Time for a visit to Kuub Cosmetics' new retail store in Waikiki. The freshly-renovated space is a welcome expansion for Kuub (pronounced "cube"), a full-service, locally-owned spa that has been pampering clients on the 37th floor of Century Center since 1995. It also sold beauty products in a small space on the first floor until owner Yoshiro Kubota decided to open a more prominent location on Waikiki's busy Seaside Ave.

Inside the bright, open space, you'll feel like a jet-setting celebrity, sifting through beauty and skincare lines from around the world, including alpha hydroxy acid-based Exuviance; Yon-Ka, a French line of botanicals, essential oils and aromatherapy; Cosme Proud's Gold Revitalier collection from Japan, which uses a gold negative ion formula to penetrate and plump the skin; and affordable Korean skincare line SkinGarden, with penetrating masks of aloe, collagen, coenzyme Q10 and hyaluronic acid for less than $3.

Lei Chic You'll also have inside access to Kuub's own exclusive skincare line, Sylph, developed by a chemist whose resume includes brands like Lancome and Shiseido. One swipe of the toner with soy, peach, aloe and cucumber extracts leaves skin feeling refreshed and smelling of ripe summer fruit, while the moisturizing cream with ginger, lavender and ginseng keeps it soft and smooth.

Then, leave looking like a polished A-lister thanks to a free makeover at the Jane Iredale cosmetics station.

Talk about VIP treatments.

Kuub Cosmetics' retail store is located at 333 Seaside Ave, #140, with free 30-minute validated parking at Waikiki Trade Center. Sylph skincare, $50 soap, $39 toner, $36 moisturizing cream, $25 sample set. For more information about Kuub Cosmetics' Century Center spa, click here.
