Views of Pearl Harbor in Aiea
The unobstructed view of Pearl Harbor is what caught my attention about this two-bedroom, one-bathroom condo in Aiea, not to mention it’s being offered at a terrific price ($218,000 fee simple). You can see the harbor from the living room, but you’ll get an even better view from the master bedroom. Click here for details.
Realtor Jonie Williams of Prudential Locations LLC mentioned a couple of other pluses: The sixth-floor apartment has an excellent cross breeze, so there’s no need for an air conditioner and it’s ready to move right in.
The owners installed a new range in the kitchen, added a bathroom vanity, refinished the tub and tilework in the bathroom and applied a fresh coat of paint throughout.
The open kitchen design features a pass-through into the living room keeping the space bright and airy.
The bathroom can be accessed from the master bedroom and also the living room, so when you’re entertaining, there’s no need to have your guests pad through the bedroom for access.
The no-frills building doesn’t offer much in terms of amenities, but it has an on-site resident manager, a locked entry and you make can short shrift of your laundry in the community laundry room on the lobby level. (And you’ll keep your apartment cooler without having a dryer.)
The location puts you within walking distance to Aiea Bowl (and its restaurant – have you tried its Tasty Chicken?), Times supermarket and several restaurants and shops.
One uncovered parking stall is included in the price, and there are three guest spaces as well.
The post office is right next door to the building and it offers extra parking. For $1, you can park in its lot from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Fuzz factor: No pets are allowed, but for allergy sufferers, a pet-free building, plus the ceramic tile flooring throughout the unit makes for easy cleaning and helps keep the allergen level down.
If you’d like to see it for yourself, there’ll be an open house on Sunday, Aug. 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. Click here for a visual tour.
