Open house pick of the week: Ala Moana

Even with all the new developments coming up in Kakaako, Nauru Tower is still a prestigious luxury condo. Its views of the ocean are only obstructed, if at all, by the trees at Ala Moana Beach Park, and the location is convenient to shopping, dining and the beach.

Due to the high desirability of living in Nauru Tower, there are only two listings available: One for $5.5 million, as profiled by Clarke Reilly in January; and this new one, which is under $1 million.  (Click here for details.) What a difference in price!

This 1,312-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and has been upgraded with marble floors, new paint and mirrored walls. It even has specially designed support rails and an open master bedroom to make accessibility easy.

This is a “04” unit, which is highly desirable because it’s located directly across the park for the best ocean view. To see the configuration of the building, and the units, click here.

The residence comes with one parking stall, and the building has a barbecue area, a pool, a tennis court and 24-hour security. Guest parking is also available.

First open house is this Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Happy house hunting!

Money talk: $899,000 fee simple
