Checking in: Ka Makana at Hoakalei

It’s been about three years since developer Haseko launched Ka Makana at Hoakalei, a mix of one- and two-story single-family homes as well as townhomes. They’re still selling and, even after all this time, are still building.

One of the cool things about this development is the overwhelming selection of model homes—almost two dozen, all in one large area that could be its own neighborhood. There are six tiers of homes, ranging from the mid-$400,000s to luxury golf course homes at $1,171,080. (Click here for more information.)

Each tier (except one, the Banyan Series) features four different floor plans, and Haseko offers a large menu of options within which buyers can customize their home.

All of the homes have a high-end, luxurious feel to them, but since they are located in Ewa, they are priced accordingly. The million dollar models are so strikingly beautiful, spacious, and well-appointed, it feels like you’re stepping into Kahala homes … at a fraction of the price.

This luxury collection, called the Koa Series, is considered a high-end value; in fact, one of these model homes received an Award of Merit at last week's Gold Nugget Awards, which recognizes excellence and innovation in architectural design.

Of the 887 homes at Ka Makana at Hoakalei, there are 428 still available. The most affordable tier—the Lehua Series, which are the townhomes—is currently sold out, but the developer expects to release additional inventory in about a year.

Bring a good pair of walking shoes when you visit the sales office and model homes, which are open daily. For more information, click here or call 808-689-4438.
