Open house pick of the week: Lanikai

Many people move to Oahu’s windward side to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a quiet, slower pace of life. This week’s open house pick is a home takes that peacefulness a step further with a design that brings out the beauty of the great outdoors.

Located at 1375 Mokolea Dr. in Lanikai, this newly renovated, 1,456-square-foot home sits on a 9,836-square-foot lot, so the yard seems extra huge. The pool is salt water, with an elegant rock design and an adjacent hot tub with waterfall. There are windows everywhere on the house to let light in and to accentuate the natural surroundings.

The interior is bright and spacious, great for entertaining. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a modern kitchen with lots of storage and counter space.

“This is the best-priced home in ‘interior’ Lanikai without an ocean view,” says realtor Scott Kamiya.

Happy house hunting!
