Open house pick of the week: Royal Summit

This house in Royal Summit was only listed on Tuesday, but it’s already gotten a lot of calls. I predict the open house on Sunday—its first open—will be busy. Good thing it’s got ample space to park a lot of cars.

Homes in Royal Summit are rarely available, let alone one of this size: It’s a 9,578-square-foot flag lot on a cul-de-sac with a huge fenced yard and a driveway large enough to park a few cars and/or a boat.

The home is 3,724 square feet over two stories, and the layout is such that there is potential for multi-family living or a rental. There are three bedrooms on the main level with 2.5 bathrooms, and two bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs. The primary, grand kitchen is on themain level, of course, but everyone can live separate lives, since there are two kitchenettes downstairs. (For kitchenettes, they’re pretty large.)

It was built in 1985 but features an updated kitchen, granite counters, oak cabinets, laminate floors, new carpet and paint. (Click here for details.)

It’s not getting calls just because it’s huge and rarely available, though. The listing is under a million dollars, which adds to its appeal.

“We’re holding off on the calls until we show it this weekend,” says realtor Kyle Sakoda. “That gives everyone a chance to see it, and evens out the playing field.”
