High in the sky at Hokua

For most of us, this swanky condo at the Hokua is priced in the economic stratosphere. But when this listing came across my desk, I thought, well, it’s fun to look.

The Hokua, completed in 2005, is among several luxury high-rise buildings that in recent years have made Kakaako a hot place to live. It also joins its architectural brethren by being a prime example of offering oodles of amenities (more on those later).

This expansive, 2,325-square-foot unit on the 28th floor features three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, a large kitchen, and distinct living and dining room areas. Click here for details.

The home is chock-full of natural light due to its floor-to-ceiling glass panes that serve as perimeter walls in many of the rooms. (Don’t worry about the sun heating everything up, it’s outfitted with central A/C.)

The kitchen is well appointed with sleek black granite countertops, custom cabinetry, high-end stainless-steel appliances and a gas range.

Oh, did I mention the views? All rooms have beautiful views of the ocean and coastline. The master bathroom’s soaker tub even comes with a view.

Three standard-sized parking stalls and a separate storage room are included in the price. All of the unit’s furnishings are negotiable.

Back to the amenities: Vanishing-edge pool, whirlpool spa, sauna, tennis courts, BBQ areas and fitness center? Yes to all. Playground and restaurants? The Hokua has them. Even rarer ones such as guest suites and a dog park (pets are allowed) can be found here.

When do we move in?

Money talk: $3,215,000 fee simple
